A child is not a miniature adult. their brains are in the process of forming and require appropriate stimuli to create functioning neuropathways.

The Brain Gut Connection
The connection between the brain and gut is well established as the root cause of many of the epidemic diseases and syndromes facing us today. The more we understand the Gut-Brain axis, Gut-Lung axis, and Gut-Liver axis, the more we can ask the right questions and uncover the cause of the foundational issues.
Whether you are at the beginning of your journey or have been on a merry-go-round of doctors, if the decisions that have been made for you and your child have left you unsatisfied, we encourage you to take your time going through the website and reaching out to us with any questions.
It is always a collaboration between practitioner and parent to understand how to move the child’s healing forward while listening to the child’s needs. Neuro-Integrative Medicine is often becoming much like allopathic medicine, dispensing supplements instead of pharmaceuticals. However, truly meeting a patient where they are will sometimes require more time as their nervous systems have been compromised, and they do not respond “typically” to many of the suggestions.
As parents, we are taught to rely solely on our pediatricians for guidance. Our children will never be as important to anyone else as they are to us. Educating ourselves about their developmental stages and signs of health challenges gives us an opportunity to augment their future before more accommodations are made in the body and brain and larger problems become more ingrained.
As your child’s primary caregiver, you know them best. Pediatricians are a wonderful resource for what they do; however, they can miss things if they are not specifically trained in Retained reflexes, midline defects, and early signs of neurodevelopmental delays.
Neurodevelopment in Children Simplified For Parents
Learn how crawling develops neuropathways.

What is a midline defect, and how can it affect everything from speech to vision and mobility?

Understanding what Developmental Optometry is and how the visual system may be misinterpreting what the eye is conveying, which in turn makes reading, learning, and moving their body in a coordinated way impossible.

Gain an understanding of the Vagus Nerve and the powerful tools we can use to access and repair its tone.

Children who have any type of auditory processing, aversion to loud noises, are not socially engaged, sit on the autism spectrum, or have experienced trauma at birth or after will all benefit from tools that address neuroplasticity.

Learn what Retained Reflexes are and how they are affecting and causative of everything from ADHD, emotional reactivity, and social disconnection to anxiety/OCD, and learning disabilities.

To learn more see our Parent Course page or contact us to become a patient.
Each piece needs to fit into the puzzle at the correct time to allow each child to self-regulating in the best way possible.

The Iceberg Series™
About The Autism Iceberg
Share this message with someone you know who works with autistic individuals or who parents one. Autism is beginning to touch everyone's life somehow; sharing resources and collaborating is always important. There are many clinically relevant tools not being discussed in the mainstream. If you work in the field & have not explored all of the items listed in "What You Can't See," reach out. When it comes to kids, we can all work together to find solutions for all of the families we work with.
Families should have all of the information available to make choices about their families. Part of my mission is to empower parents and practitioners to recognize early warning signs of delays and potential neurological challenges and then be knowledgeable about helpful next steps to encourage development during critical windows of neurological growth. Beyond ABA, OT/PT there is a world of tools that the bio-hacking world is getting funding to show works! Photobiomodulation, Sauna, Interactive Metronome, SSP, and more.
